How you can expect to spend your day:

You will learn from highly experienced teams of consultants across our client’s divisions.

With comprehensive and proactive support from your mentor you would assist with the recruitment life-cycle. This would include shadowing on interviews to build up a practical experience of how to screen and assess candidates in the context of our specialist markets. You will learn how to research for new candidates to meet their clients’ requirements. This would include the use of various social media and internet based sources, as well as supporting headhunting and direct sourcing for specific roles. You would also have the opportunity to attend certain client meetings to observe account and relationship management dynamics and to develop information gathering techniques; thus enabling you to support end to end, source-to-selection processes. There would also be a business generation component to the role; which could incorporate account management calls with warm/active clients, lead tracking, preparing marketing literature to position solutions, research calls to stimulate leads and support to networking activities / events.

Skills you can expect to gain:

You will receive comprehensive training in areas such as account management, interviewing, negotiation, advertising, marketing, commercial networking, solution selling and the delivery of formal & informal presentations.

Upon joining, interns benefit from a tailored training and induction process, as well as being assigned a mentor – an experienced and high achieving Consultant who will provide informal advice and guidance in the early weeks and months as you go through your training programme and develop your career path. They operate an ongoing review and feedback programme, and one-to-one and group training, coaching, and role-playing on an ongoing basis throughout your first 12 months.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in a highly commercial environment. Our teams work closely with these client organisations to mobilise resource to generate operational efficiencies and competitive advantage; in what remains a continuously challenging economic environment.

Ideal personality and qualifications:

You are a self-starter, able to demonstrate initiative and you are commercially aware. We are looking for a multi-tasker, able to quickly comprehend complex topics and you excel in a team environment. You display high levels of drive, energy, integrity and honesty.

Ideally you will have a good degree from a top university that has incorporated a sandwich year in a corporate placement. Ideal degrees include history, politics, English, mathematics, sciences, accountancy & Finance, IT or business.
